DREAM THEATER have announced “Vol. 1” a seven-LP vinyl box set that is out on September 27th, 2024 through Rhino. The vinyl collection includes the albums “Images And Words”, “Awake”, “Falling Into Infinity” and “Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory”.

“Vol. 1” traces DREAM THEATER’s road throughout the 1990s, highlighting the natural evolution of their signature sound in the span of an important decade
Limited to just 2,500 copies worldwide, “Vol. 1” will be followed by “Vol. 2” and “Vol. 3”, coming in 2025.

looks like the band Emmure may start working on a new album as Frankie’s latest post reveals … the current 2024 touring has now come to an end and it looks like work will soon be starting on a new and 9th studio album. Vocalist Frankie Palmeri posted on twitter .. recently that writing sessions for that follow-up to 2020’s “Hindsight” are in the upcoming plans…

Michael Schenker has released another new song .. it is “Only You Can Rock Me” … the 3rd song off his new upcoming album “My Years With UFO” as he celebrates the 50th anniversary of Schenker’s years with UFO. this song has the lineup of Joey Tempest (EUROPE) on vocals, Roger Glover (DEEP PURPLE) on bass, Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) on keys, and Brian Tichy on drums.

Jason Bonham had to leave Sammy Hagar’s “The Best Of All Worlds” tour due to an unspecified family issue. The drummer was replaced at Hagar’s concert on August 27th at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio by Kenny Aronoff, who had previously played with Hagar, bassist Michael Anthony and guitarist Joe Satriani in CHICKENFOOT.
