Chi-chi Nwanoku on founding the inspiring Chineke! Orchestra | Classic FM Live

Double bassist and founder of the Chineke! Foundation, Chi-chi Nwanoku, speaks to Classic FM’s Alexander Armstrong backstage at Classic FM Live about the “light-bulb moment” which pushed her to establish Europe’s first orchestra made up of majority Black and ethnically diverse musicians.

Nwanoku performed on the Royal Albert Hall stage with the Chineke! Orchestra at Classic FM Live, making their debut with music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ramin Djawadi.
