Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1, a mainstay of the violin repertoire, is one of the great works of the Romantic era, and a former number one in the Classic FM Hall of Fame – a position it held for five years. The enrapturing second movement, ‘Adagio’, is performed by rising star Deniz Şensoy and pianist Dina Duisen in the Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room.
