LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton stated to theHeavy Consequence’s “Two For The Road” series on King’s new band is serving as the support act for the North American “Ashes Of Leviathan” tour: “It speaks to the character of Kerry King, a legend in this game. [I have the] utmost respect [for him]. [He was] part of some of the greatest metal songs in history. SLAYER [was] absolutely formative in my understanding and my love for metal. And SLAYER has taken LAMB OF GOD out on multiple occasions, MASTODON out on multiple occasions, at some point together. And so now SLAYER is defunct or on hiatus, whatever it is that they’re doing, or not doing. I don’t know how to characterize that, but they’ve not been around, they’ve not been actively working.”

Kerry is in the band with Mark Osegueda (vocals; DEATH ANGEL),Phil Demmel (guitar; MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE),Kyle Sanders (bass; HELLYEAH) and drummer Paul Bostaph (SLAYER, TESTAMENT, EXODUS).
