Slipknot project Look Outside Your Window Album set for release on many platforms

The album or project called “Look Outside Your Window” was released on April 18th in 2026.. as part of the ‘Record Store Day‘ event. That album was a long time coming … , having originally been done during the sessions for Slipknot‘s 2008 album “All Hope Is Gone“. ..it is not an official Slipknot release, the 10 song record was instead recorded separately, with sessions taking place in a separate location just outside from the main studio sessions for “All Hope Is Gone“.

However, ..it did have Slipknot‘s vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Jim Root, percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan and DJ Sid Wilson on the album they explored different creative avenues.

..it did finally see the light of day under the Look Outside Your Window name …. . That arrival did present some challenges for fans though, as it was exclusive only to vinyl formats available through independent record retailers.

Now plans have been set for an official June 12th wide release of the record, including various new vinyl pressings and a CD format release. Presumably, digital formats will follow. For now, pre-orders for this album can be ordered through shop.lookoutsideyourwindow.com. https://shop.lookoutsideyourwindow.com/

Just ahead of its release last month, Clown told Rolling Stone…

“Yes, it is definitely closing a chapter in that maybe it should have come out a long time ago, but Slipknot always stopped the forward motion of it because we’d be in an album cycle and releasing it would have disrupted both things. So I finally put my foot down, and everybody’s like, ‘It’s about time.’
I love this album so much. I know people are going to love it and I’ve accepted that it’s going to get confused [with Slipknot]. But it’ll also open up the next generation of ‘Look Outside Your Window‘.”
