It showed the flags in various colours, textures and designs. The first music video shown broadcasted on MTV was The Buggles ’Video Killed the Radio Star’. In the middle, as a result of money losing venture, the channel was renamed as VH1. The main objective of MTV was to air songs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Over these years, the best of MTV includedits certain events and the continuous airing of songs. MTV also launched live concerts to increase its publicity. MTV also aired commercials like Caravan, Jovan, Chewel gums, Mountain Dew.

MTV has continued to host these reality events as because it places a strong importance on the airing of these reality events. But these reality events have really been great success if they though they have gathered up a strong debate. Some of the reality shows have been ‘MTV’s Fear’, which was the first scare based reality show where the contestants filmed themselves. Another famous event aired by MTV was ‘Jackass’. There were many short lived realty shows like ‘Kathy’s so called Reality’. MTV also hosted a list of animated channels, the famous being Nickelodeon.

Another popular event of MTV has been MTV Splits villa. MTV Big Switch has been a huge success where the contestants were required to switch over their families. Some of these events have been such a huge success that a number of seasons have been aired. In spite of so much censorship debate on MTV, the channel has continued to produce great success which adds on to the best of MTV.
