Suffolk Suite – Doreen Carwithen | Classic FM

The Philharmonia Orchestra, under the baton of Ben Palmer, performs the filmic ‘Suffolk Suite’ by 20th century composer, Doreen Carwithen. Originally written as a soundtrack to the 1954 British Transport Film ‘East Anglian Holiday’, the ‘Suffolk Suite’ evokes visions of herring-filled drifter nets, reed-flanked river ways, and summers spent by the sea.
