System of A Down’s Serj Tankian states there will be an announcement next year, interview posted
you can now check out a great new interview that was held by Kyle Meredith as he interviewed System of A Down frontman Serj Tankian he asked if there were any plans for SYSTEM OF A DOWN in the near future .. . and Serj stated: “As of now, we haven’t talked about anything. We will be making an announcement about something next year that I can’t really tell you about. So there is that. But further than that, I can’t really say.”
SYSTEM OF A DOWN has only released two songs in the last 17 years, “Protect The Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz”.
John their drummer previously stated about a new album, John stated: “Yeah, if my bandmembers listened to me and put everything to the side and just said, ‘Okay, let’s just go in and make the best album we can make and not care about where the music comes from or who wrote the lyrics or what this person did in the past.’ I’m willing to put all that aside. I’m not in a band that’ll do that, unfortunately.”
