Green Day’s new album “Uno!” set to rock!

The iconic punk-rock album, “Uno”, part of their trilogy, Uno, Dos! and Tre! is all set the billboards on fire. With some of the tracks already released on iTunes and other online stores, fans and followers are waiting eagerly for the official release of the first album of the series.

For Green day fans, this album, as well as the others in the trilogy, bear the promise of being spectacular, after Billie Joe, the lead vocalist, chief songwriter and lead guitarist of the band announced that this was the most creative period in their musical lives and this was definitely going to be the finest music that they had ever produced. With the prolific number of songs that they recorded in a short span of time (38, no less!) the band decided to go in for a trilogy and went with the unique design of having the picture of one band member on the cover of each of the albums.  Happily for Green Day aficionados, Armstrong graces the first cover of the series.

So what in store for the eager music lover who buys the album as soon as it is released? Will they get something on the lines of the previously acclaimed and evergreen Green day albums, “21st Century Breakdown” and “American Idol”? Billie Joe Armstrong holds out the promise that this album would be more “power pop” and much “punchier” than the stuff they had done before.

Indeed, as the track “Kill the DJ” reveals, there is a pulsating chunk of straight out dance music on the album. This is something totally new and unique coming out of the Green day stable and something that will tuned to set dance floors on fire all over the world. Already songs that have been released as singles from the album “Uno!” such as “Oh Love” , “Sweet 16”, “Stay the Night” and “Fell for You” have been given a hero’s welcome by Green day fans. And this is not surprising. All of these songs have a lovely fresh sound and a simple pop feel that have music lovers raving about them already. Other tracks like “Carpe Diem” are definitely proof of the band’s journey into other, fresher sounds and words. The sound that oozes out of most of “Uno!” is definitely one of old fashioned charm and romantic heart tugging. These are not sounds or feelings that have been associated with Green Day mostly but are nevertheless bound to sway listeners and fans with their magnetic sound and honest to God emotions.

So music lovers and Green day fans in particularly, the wait is almost over! With “Uno!” hitting the stores any moment now, and “Dos!” and “Tre!” soon to follow, times are good.  There is a lot of great music coming your way from your favourite band, and what’s more, it promises to be diverse and eclectic all the way.  So get set to enjoy and share some of the finest music of recent times.
